Are fresh vegetables more nutritious than frozen vegetables?
It depends what you mean by ‘fresh’.
All produce begins to lose nutrients after harvesting, so if your fresh vegetables are flown in from another country or stored for a period of time, then frozen vegetables are a better option.
Fresh vegetables are frozen within hours of being picked, which means most of the nutrients are still intact.
That said, any fruits and vegetables are better than no fruits and vegetables.
For peak flavor and good value, fresh produce in season is always a good choice, but frozen or canned fruits and vegetables, without added salt or sugar, are just as good for you as fresh.
