The Hawkes Bay Mountain Bike Club Inc (HBMTBC) is the largest cycling club in New Zealand with 1950 members (Apr '09).
The HBMTBC have 'member only' access into 3 privately owned forest blocks of:
* Aropaoanui DH Park - 4 purpose built downhill tracks
* Eskdale MTB Park - 75km of DH, XC, Trials & Freeride tracks within 354ha
* Pukeora Hill MTB Park - 10km of XC tracks within 50ha
Visiting/non-members can purchase a "3 Week Temp Permit" for $7, which incl maps & ID docket, from any of the local cycle shops or on the club website. Club membership can also be obtained on the website (Visa or Mastercard only).
The HBMTBC have recently built a Dirt Jump Park in Taradale, which is FREE for public use.
