Darts
Darts come in sets of 3, and come in different makes and sizes to fit different hands and fingers, you should always try the darts before buying.
- Brass Darts - the least expensive, they are fairly heavy and the grip may wear quickly. They are mass produced so the quality and consistency varies, brass darts are often used as house darts
- Nickel/Silver Darts - fairly heavy and relatively cheap, it is harder and more durable than brass and the grip wears away slower. Good for budget-minded beginners.
- Tungsten Darts - heavy material, heavier than lead and resists wear. There are 4 categories of Tungsten Darts: 50-70% (cheap), 80% (popular with new league players), 90% (holds up well, feels better to throw), 95%-98% (thinner, holds up better, better to throw).
- Nickel/Tungsten Darts - more dense than brass or nickel/silver darts, they have a smaller diameter barrel and better feel.
- Copper/Tungsten Darts - soft material with about 70% Tungsten, less expensive than nickel/tungsten, the surface develops tiny pits after it’s been thrown a while that can improve the feel of the grip.
