Rugby boots are made of thicker leather so are warmer and dryer in the winter; they have six studs at the front. However this does make them heavier. Rugby boots have a low cut that gives the player maximum flexibility with the minimum weight. If you are going to use football boots instead, replace the plastic studs with metal ones, as the plastic ones will chip easily and cause injury to others.
