Hoops
Or Wickets, is 2 vertical uprights joined with a horizontal crown. 6 hoops are used in regulation croquet games but some games use 9. These are what the ball goes through to score points, they must be standing 12 inches above the ground after they are fixed-in.
There are 3 types of hoops; cat/welded metal, metal tube and wire hoops, only cast/welded hoops are used for tournaments. Hoops can be painted or un-painted but the paint helps stop them corroding.
