Ball

Also referred to as a “pigskin”, the ball is slightly pointed at the ends and about 28cm long and 56cm in circumference at the centre. The exterior is made of leather, but recreation ones may be made of rubber of plastic, normally a tan natural brown colour, it has a pebble-grain texture to help players grip the ball.
