Clothing

It's recommended to wear thing layers which keep in the warmth whilst not becoming sweaty.
In the cold it’s important to wear thermals that will keep away your sweat but keep you warm. There are specially made light long-sleeve cycling jerseys too which are tight fitting and often with pockets.
Jackets are recommended to be sleeveless and they will keep the wind off you chest and stomach region.
Pants are normally padded to give you saddle protection and can either be shorts or long cycle pants
Don’t bulk up with thick socks as this may lead to foot cramp, just wear light cotton or silk socks.
Gloves are also recommended because if you fall off you will protect the hands from injury, the best are lightweight leather gloves as they don’t get soggy with sweat, and can be cut off at the fingers to release the heat but keep the palms protected.
