What’s the healthiest from of milk to drink?
It depends. Generally you want to aim for a milk that contains less than two grams of fat per 100 mls and more than 120 mg of calcium. The Calci-trim milk fit into this criteria. You may not think there is much difference between each variety of milk, but the light blue top milk is ten times higher in fat than the green-top. The dark-blue is ten times higher in fat than the light blue. So changing your milk can make a big difference to your nutritional intake.
Infants younger than 12 months old should stick to formula or breast milk. Up to 2 years old higher fat milk is best. After that, choose lower fat, higher calcium brands.
My personal favourite is Sun Latte milk, slightly more expensive but rich in protein and calcium.
